About Roy Guste
A native son of America’s most seductive city, New Orleans. A descendant of early settlers of Louisiana and great-great grandson of Antoine Alciatore, founder of the famed Antoine’s Restaurant. He has spent most of his work life in the restaurant business at Antoine’s and is author of 10 cookbooks on New Orleans Cuisine, beans, fish, and other edible subjects.
After Hurricane Katrina which he experienced first hand from his French Quarter Apartment Roy turned to real estate in response to the many new Orleanians, their homes destroyed, who came to him for assistance in finding housing. Joining the real estate company ‘Dorian Bennett Sotheby’s International Realty’, he returned to one of his first life interests…. photography.
He now documents life in New Orleans as only the real Orleanians can know it.
